The Fire Raisers

The Prospect Hof in Semperdpot Vienna was transformed into a musical theater for the opera in two acts, based on the eponymous play by Max Frisch; Biedermann und die Brandstifter (The Fire Raisers).  This part of the building is open on all four floors up to the top and on each floor there are encircling galleries , which are supported by  six -meter-high cast-iron columns.

The stage design by Dominique Wiesbauer blends harmoniously into the architectural language of the building, of what used to be a depot and production facility for theater decorations and -kulissen particular for the opera and the Burgtheater, and is know as the Atelier building of the Academy of Fine Arts today.
