The World of the Orient

Islam is the second largest world religion and plays an essential role in our society. The exhibition "The World of the Orient " was designed by the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna for the Kunsthalle Leoben.

The exhibition showed the historical origins and objectives of Islamic beliefs and the immense variety of artistic and cultural treasures that accompany it. With more than 300 precious objects, visitors were transported into the world of the Orient and given insights into a culture that has served as the link between Europe and the cultures of eastern Asia for centuries.
