Carmen

The quest for fulfilling love - a desire which was not achieved for the passionate Carmen. Set designer Manfred Waba conjured the bullfighting arena of Seville " La Maestranza " in the breathtaking rock arena of St. Margarethen. This central stage element required transformations and technical refinements.

Due to the latest event technologies, the finale of the opera had unique moving projections and a special treat for the eyes. This optical illusion was created by the artist collective Lichttapete from Vienna.
