Neusiedlersee-The Viennese Sea

The Neusiedlersee, which was once a swampy lowland, is a natural paradise for the Viennese population today. Just 50 kilometers from Vienna it has been called “The Sea of the Viennese” since 1920. In the Cold War, it played a historically important role in the Pannonian heath Seewinkel? Today, it serves as an ideal tourist destination attracting hikers,  swimmers and sailors. Furthermore, around the lake there are the ideal conditions to find a good drop of wine which has made the area become an ElDorado for wine lovers.
