The stage design by Manfred Waba was imaginative and playful at the same time and allowed the visitors in the Roman quarry in St. Margarethen to plunge into magical worlds.
A three-headed lion was the central element of the 7,000 sqm outdoor stage. The stage was made by the artists in a separate hall and then brought in separate items into the quarry . The 20m high complete decoration was assembled by a crane on site. The Lion was openable and closable and three-dimensional scenography added the additional necessarily breath.
